Getting Around

Eastwoodhill Arboretum caters for all levels of fitness and mobility – for both young and the young at heart. Due to the terrain at Eastwoodhill Arboretum, some walking tracks aren’t suitable for everyone. However, a limited mobility trail is signposted around the Homestead Garden and arboretum. This trail has been designed to allow access to the more level areas of the arboretum, keeping in mind the needs of individual visitors.

Tracks and paths

There is over 25km of walking tracks throughout Eastwoodhill all with varying levels of difficulty. You can find more information and a map of the arboretum below.

Please see the visitor centre or the blackboard on arrival for and advised track closures or areas to avoid due to weather.

Highly recommended for senior citizen groups, visitors with restricted mobility and those on a tight schedule. The jeep is able to seat a maximum of 12 people and is available with prior booking only. A minimum fee of $50 is charged.

See Guided Tours page for details.

Mobility scooter

A mobility scooter is available at the Visitor Centre free of charge, and was kindly funded by the Esme and Tom Tombleson Trust.

The scooter is maneuvered with easy grip handles. There’s just one lever for ease of operation and when the handle is released the scooter stops.

Visitor Centre staff will explain and demonstrate its use, so that you feel comfortable using it around the park.

Note though, that the scooter is strictly for use on the mobility sign posted track only.
