Looking for a way to give back to the community and surround yourself with nature at the same time?
We are always looking for people to join our Eastwoodhill volunteer group.
If you’d like to help out for half a day or more, there’s always things to do here.
You could help us in our cafe, with accommodation turn overs, be a guide for our walking tours, greet and help our visitors at the front desk and shop area, or get stuck into cleaning! We also have regular community events, workshops and kids creative days that we always need helpers for.
Take the opportunity to walk the grounds (free entry of course). Enjoy complimentary coffee and a scone. If you’d like to help for a full day or 2 half days in a row, we can often offer accommodation!
You could have a regular escape to nature, make some friends, and help us to develop and preserve Eastwoodhill for our tamariki.
Our volunteer teams are integral to the sustainability of this unique and special place so if this sounds like something you’d enjoy getting involved in, contact us today.
Let us know where your skillset sits, when you’re available and how often you’re available. Ideally you’ll be able to offer some time once a month or once a fortnight, but if it’s less, that’s ok too, we’ll take whatever time you can give us! Training will be given and it’s important that you enjoy people and trees.

Volunteering at Eastwoodhill is a rewarding experience. Working to uphold New Zealand’s national arboretum is a privilege and a legacy to be left for many generations to come.
We have made some great lasting connections with our fantastic volunteers over the years, so we look forward to meeting more.
