Happy New Year!✨
As we reach the end of 2024, we reflect on what has been both a challenging and transformative year. At Eastwoodhill we’ve faced significant hurdles, particularly around sustainability and operational challenges. We’re incredibly proud of how our team, board, volunteers and supportive Tairāwhiti community have pulled together.
The cruise ships that we have hosted has been fantastic, the remarkable Autumn colour that drew lots of visitors, and our growing partnerships with local businesses have been real highlights.
A special mention to our Friends of Eastwoodhill, who have run some amazing fundraising projects and stepped in whenever we have needed. There have been many contributions from everyone and the impact of that support has been amazing.
Despite the many obstacles we faced, there has been significant groundwork laid for the year ahead. In 2025, there will be new opportunities on the horizon, as we continue towards our transformative journey. We’re confident that together we can build a stronger, more sustainable Eastwoodhill that honours our conservation heritage while securing our future.
The Eastwoodhill team, wishes you and your loved ones a safe and joyous holiday season. Thank you for your support of Eastwoodhill, and we look forward to seeing you here again soon!
With the resent weather events, we have some closed trails and some debris around the arboretum so please refer to the board in our shop on arrival. Please keep your eyes open and take care on our trails. 🙂
