with Angela and Quentin (Henwen Herbals)
Sunday 23rd June, 9 – 3 pm
at Eastwoodhill Arboretum
Angela and Quentin will take you through the tea blending process to create healthy, tasty herbal teas that you can take home, make again, and customize further. You’ll get to know some key herbs, their therapeutic actions, and how to process them in your own kitchen.
We’ll supply enough organically-grown herbs on the day so that you come away from the course with two or three different tea blends to keep and use .We’ll make the first one from a recipe that we provide, then help you custom make one or two more. There will be printed course notes to keep, so you can focus on the learning activities instead of trying to take notes.
We’ll bring our favourite Henwen tea blends to accompany morning and afternoon tea, and a light lunch (soup, bread and salad). We’ll take you for a short walk through the beautiful ngahere at the Arboretum, and meet some of our precious native rakau rongoa/medicinal plants (weather permitting). The Arboretum has a cafe if you prefer to eat there, a shop with great products and gifts, and accommodation if required. Your course fee includes admission to the Arboretum, so you’re free to explore the grounds after the workshop. We will have our full range of Henwen Herbals products, including some bulk herbs, available for purchase on the day as well.
Cost – $150 per person – includes light lunch, 2-3 tea blends to take home, teas to sample on the day, handout, and admission to the Arboretum.
